After graduating from Herron School of Art and Design in Indiana, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and a commercial art programme at The Colorado Institute of Art in the US, James Kelly worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for nearly 20 years.
Since his move to Indianapolis, the 62-year-old artist has refocused his career and his illustrative abilities. From his Mad Lab Studio at the Garfield Park neighbourhood of Indianapolis, he has been producing hundreds of custom pet portraits and many other illustrated commissions for a worldwide audience.
