Quick Save

Last week, disaster struck Colombia in the form of a massive landslide that hit the Libordiana River. The landslide drowned buildings, houses and vehicles, killing over 70 people. Just four days later, a related video made waves on the internet—a local policeman risked his life and jumped into the river to save a poor pooch from drowning.

Just four days later, a related video made waves on the internet—a local policeman risked his life and jumped into the river to save a poor pooch from drowning. As with many of the victims, the dog had fallen into the river, and got washed down along with the strong current. It was seen in the video struggling to stay afloat, and getting knocked by the rocks along the way.

The Colombian policeman was quick on his feet, and with perfect timing, leapt into the waters to grab the dog. When brought to safety, the team conducted CPR on the canine, resuscitating it. Thankfully, it responded well to their efforts, and regained consciousness in a matter of minutes.

Three cheers to this brave policeman and his rescue team!
